TOX - DYSPORT | BOTOX
What are Botox® and Dysport®?
Dysport® and BOTOX® are both forms of the purified botulinum toxin that are used in our wrinkle relaxer treatment injections. Each product has its own unique benefit, and we will work together to customize the perfect plan for your skin care needs.
What Areas Can Be Treated with Botox® and Dysport®?
At the Injection Studio in Meridian, ID, we can use Botox® or Dysport® on the face and neck to stop the first signs of wrinkles, lift the brow, flip the lip, tighten your neck line, turn your frown upside down, and smooth and tighten skin. The most common Botox® and Dysport® treatment areas are:
· Forehead (glabella & horizontal lines)
· Under & around the eyes
· Crow’s feet
· Lips (Botox® upper “lip flip”) & around the mouth, such as smile or smoker’s lines
· Jaw (for TMJ)
· Neck
· Botox® under arms (armpits) for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
· Botox® for migraines and tension headaches
· Chin
When Will I See Results and How Long Do They Last?
Our Boise-area clients typically see wrinkle relaxation results in 3 – 7 days. Each treatment lasts about 3 – 4 months. Clients who repeat the treatments every few months and follow our suggestions and recommendations typically see longer-lasting results. When used under the arms for hyperhidrosis, Botox ® can control sweating for up to 12 months.
Who Can Get Botox® and Dysport®?
Our wrinkle relaxer treatments do not discriminate. Botox® and Dysport® work well for men and women alike, and there is no age limit. The average age many people start getting Botox® and Dysport® at a med spa is 35. Wrinkle relaxers are our most popular treatment in our Boise-based location!
DERMAL FILLERS
What are fillers?
Injectable fillers are gels that contain hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body. As we age, we stop producing hyaluronic acid on our own and must replace it in order to diminish the signs of aging. Fillers are injected into the skin (e.g. cheeks, under eyes, nasolabial folds) to fill creases and folds, which reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Fillers are a safe, FDA-approved anti-aging treatment.

How Long Do Fillers Last?
Short answer: 6-12 months, on average. The length of time your dermal filler treatment will last is very individual and depends on many factors, such as the structure of your skin, lifestyle, age, and the skill of the practitioner.
Experience indicates that periodic touch-ups and follow-ups on your dermal filler treatments will make them last longer. Most people choose to have another treatment within one year after the treatment of wrinkles and folds, and within 6 months after a lip enhancement. Without follow-up treatments, the filler will gradually dissolve until your skin looks like it did before your filler treatment.
COLLAGEN - SCULPTURA/RADIESSE
Sculptra® (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) is indicated for the correction of shallow to deep folds and deficiencies by promoting collagen production. Sculptra® works gradually and leads to a subtle yet noticeable improvement in skin volume. The full treatment includes three injection sessions over a few months. With each session, the active ingredient (poly-L-lactic acid) is injected in the skin which replaces lost collagen and also encourages natural collagen production for long-lasting, natural-looking results that last up to two years.
RADIESSE® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that encourages your body’s natural collagen production process and reduces volume loss. Collagen is produced by your body to provide skin with support and structure, but the production declines over time. RADIESSE is made with a gel that contains microspheres of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) suspended within it. When this dermal filler is injected, the microspheres trigger collagen production to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
LIQUID RHINOPLASTY
A liquid rhinoplasty, or nonsurgical rhinoplasty, is the injection of dermal fillers into the nose to alter its shape. It’s a great option for patients that have isolated deformities of their nose, such as a dorsal hump or minor asymmetries. It can also be a great option for those patients that have had a rhinoplasty in the past and have minor irregularities postoperatively.
A nonsurgical rhinoplasty is also a great option for those that want instant results, may not be able to afford a surgical rhinoplasty, and cannot take a significant time off of work.
Finally, patients may also undergo a liquid rhinoplasty to “test out” whether they want to take the plunge and get more definite surgery. The results are temporary and you can essentially take your rhinoplasty out for a “test-drive.”
